Conscious Leaders Forum Day 2 Highlights: Taking Action

Day two of the Conscious Company Global Leaders Forum landed attendees directly in the center of the rapidly evolving conscious business movement. Experts leaders on the stage gave insightful analysis and practical tactics on how to push forward our companies, ourselves, and the collective towards making deep and continued impact.

The Highlights

The morning opened with Scott Shute of LinkedIn sharing his personal moment of realization that led him along the middle path of business integrated with conscious living

 

Values-driven workplaces aren’t a theory any longer, said Wisdom Labs CEO Cory Smith with fervor:

 

Michele Bousquet of GoPro delivered a personal reflection that serves as a critical reminder about how we stop ourselves from reaching our full potential.

Our Lunch-and-Learn sessions saw engaging facilitated conversations about important components to running a successful social venture and other topics.

A theme that kept coming up was increasing impact through expanding the sphere of connection to new types of people and companies. Gerry Valentine of Vision Executive Coaching gave us a strong call to action.

 

In one of the most execution-focused talks of the day, Alison Milne of Oxfam gave us tactical resources and deep strategies to make sure our companies are delivering a true living wage.

 

In an intimate talk with our co-founder Meghan French Dunbar, Adam Lowry, formerly of Method and currently of Ripple Foods, walked us through how to integrate values and purpose into workplace culture.

Robert Egger of L.A. Kitchen deconstructed the idea of scale as your primary goal and asked everyone to consider the “why” of growth.

 

Alfa Demmellash fluidly danced between the pinpoint focuses and the larger mental frameworks needed to effect change, summing up the big question in a riveting fashion:

 

In our closing panel about “Uniting the Tribes,” hosted by Jared Levy of Social Venture Network, key stakeholders at the most prominent groups catering to social impact ventures came together to discuss a collaborative future. Here are some of our favorite moments:
