Tafadzwa S. Kasambira, M.D., M.A., M.P.H., graduated in 2002 from Tufts University School of Medicine with Research Honors and completed his pediatric residency training at Harvard University/Boston University in 2005. He completed a Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in 2008, focusing his research on immune-based diagnosis of tuberculosis in southern African children, and earned an M.A. in Science Writing at Johns Hopkins University in 2018. He worked as a Medical Officer for the review of antiviral and anti-parasitic drugs at the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for six years. Dr. Kasambira is the author of several published peer-reviewed articles and nonfiction pieces and currently works as an independent pediatric consultant in Maryland.
