Ramon EA Jacobs-Shaw, MD, MPA is a hospital medicine and care transition expert at CareMore Health, a physician-led healthcare delivery organization in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Jacobs-Shaw graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina - Pembroke with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry. He graduated Alpha Omega Alpha from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill with Honors. Dr. Jacobs-Shaw completed a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency program at the Harvard Med/Peds Residency Program based at Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He has worked as both an adult and pediatric clinician educator in Massachusetts, North Carolina, New York, and California. Jacobs-Shaw completed an Executive Masters in Public Administration program at NYU Wagner focusing on diversity and inclusion within organizational leadership models as well as social and health justice. He sits on the national public policy and advisory committee with the Society of Hospital Medicine and is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine with the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. Dr. Jacobs-Shaw is also an executive advisory board member of the startup firm, FairFrame, a diversity platform aimed at delivering equality and fairness into the workplace. He is a Fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Physicians, New York Academy of Medicine and is a Senior Fellow with the Society of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Jacobs-Shaw’s interests lie in care transitions, health equity, urban health, and diversity and inclusion.
