Meg Barnhart began her career in the hospitality business and eventually transitioned into event management. After her second child was diagnosed as developmentally delayed, Barnhart became an advocate for children with special needs. In 2012, Barnhart and her business partner, Jane McKay, created Zen of Slow Cooking (ZOSC). ZOSC manufactures spice blends for the Multi-Cooker, as well as works to employ adults with developmental disabilities. In 2018, Meg received the
Business Leadership Award from the Specialty Food Association.
